Story Writing & Drawing Competition
An online competition
Congratulations to Nadia, Amaan and Danah for winning first prize in their group of Story Writing Competition. There were total of ten wonderful stories received for the competition.
Danah’s story, Julies Documentary in the senior group of Grade 10–12 was quite a gripping story with a tragic end. The story hinged on a delicate friendship of two friends where the message conveyed is that the life span of all human beings is limited – we should make, best use of it.
Amaan in the Grade 7–9 had the originality in his story. It is about when he was flying to his home country. His story was based on his own experience. It is quite spellbinding when the flight in which he was travelling started rumbling at the height of cruise altitude. The description of panic amongst passengers and the deftness of the crew and pilot with which they handled the passengers was commendable.
Nadia in the Grade 3-6, kindles a hope leading to trust and cooperation. A confirmed COVID19 traveller to Kuwait was discharged from the hospital after recovery. The imagination of this small girl relating to the current times is praiseworthy.
The Judge, Mrs. Naheed Umair was highly appreciative of the efforts of the participants. According to her, all the participants have done well in their respective capacities. However, a note of cautioned has been inserted. Those who have been ranked first, they deserve to be congratulated, but still…..they have miles to go. We thank Mrs. Nahid Umair for being an expert to judge both these competitions.
We are thankful to the following participants for making the contest lively by their presence and participation. Unfortunately, they were not selected as winners. But as the Judge has said that the winners have miles to go. We wish and one never knows, you all, may catch up with them and even beat them next time. Just keep the spirit of competition kindled….!!!
